CALL FOR SUBMISSION FOR TANKA

Call for Submissions to RIBBONS, Tanka Society of America Journal:

Please send your premium unpublished original tanka (3 at a time only with
the subject heading RIBBONS SUBMISSIONS) to me at anya@mind.net or by post

The TSA's submission deadline is in-hand no later than May 1 , 2005 for
inclusion in our June 2005 issue. Submissions are open to all members of the
TSA and non-members as well. Please help us pass the word to the whole tanka
commuity. Only tanka selected for publication will be notified by June 5,
2005-and no other notifications will be sent, so your tanka are
automatically freed up after this date to submit elsewhere.

All prior copyrights are retained by contributors, and full rights revert

back upon publication in the TSA Journal. Neither the Tanka Society of
America, the TSA Officers, nor its Editor assume responsibility for views of
contributors (including: TSA Officers) whose work is printed in RIBBONS,
research errors, copyright infringements, or any failure to make use of
proper acknowledgements.

Tanka must not be under consideration elsewhere, submitted to any contest,
nor previously puvblished anywhere at anytime, including online. However,
any tanka posted to online workshop lists are permissible.

The TSA is seeking fresh material of the highest tanka standard to present
to our readers, and the number of actual accepted submissions published in
each issue will be limited at this point in time.

Any tanka with a sensibility that distinguishes the form will be considered.
Therefore we welcome different syllable counts, varyng individual styles and
techniques, plus we're open as well to diverse yet appropriate subject
